Indication:
Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis.
Mode of Action:
Inhibits COX-2 enzyme, which ↓ synthesis of prostaglandins. ↓ Pain and inflammation.
Cautions:
Allergy to NSAIDs or sulfonamides.
Indication:
Rash, Cardiovascular thrombotic events (e.g., MI, stroke), GI risk (e.g., bleeding, ulcers, perforation).
