Indication:
MI, stroke, PE, occluded central IVs.
Mode of Action:
Indirect destruction of fibrinogen, dissolves clots.
Cautions:
History of hemorrhagic stroke, internal bleeding, recent trauma/surgery, severe hypertension.
Indication:
Bleeding.
NC/PT:
For an ischemic stroke, administer within 3 hours of symptom onset. Closely monitor labs and vital signs. Bleeding precautions (card 24).
